#72 Finished

4 Down, 97 To Go

I ate at least one, sometimes two or three pieces of fresh fruit everyday for the month of January. I experimented and tried a few fruits that I've never tried before and got out of the rut of buying the same fruits all the time. I forgot how much I like fruit, really, and now I plan on keeping more of it around. This was a task that I really enjoyed. No stress, just good fruit.

Blog Updates

I've made some changes to my Blog. First of all, My 101 Tasks list is now in the sidebar in a scrolly box. I wanted to add it without the box, but I couldn't get it to work so this is the next best thing. Cool, huh? Except for the ugly Blogger Navbar at the top.

Also, I added a web counter at the bottom. I've have 13 visitors since I added it yesterday. Shhh, most of those are me while I was on and off trying to figure out how to get my list in the sidebar, but we won't tell anybody.

Hope you like the changes.

Carpe Diem,
Jeri

I'm in your blog this morning and don't see you list in the sidebar. I see the scrolly box that you mention but there isn't anything in it. :(

I Changed #86

#86 used to read:
Walk or run on the treadmill 3 days a week for two months.

Sounds easy, right? Yeah. I found it was easy to put off, also. I was trying to get my butt on the treadmill long before I started 101 in 1001.

Then, I was listening to the radio the other day and Vanessa Carlton's song "A Thousand Miles" came on. She sings, "'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you tonight." I heard that number, 1000, and thought, "Now that's doing something." and I was inspired. The idea of having a more daunting task ahead of me makes me feel I need to work on it sooner, and more diligently.

So now #86 reads:
Walk 1000 miles

1000 miles in 1001 (okay 983) days. I can do that. Now, I just need to clear a path to the treadmill.

Do I post this? Do I post this?
Damn! I posted it. Now I have to do it.

#75 Done!

Another one bites the dust, hey!
Another one bites the... : ) sorry.

2 down, 99 to go.

I made home-made pizza last night. One canadian bacon and one pepperoni. They were good. No, I didn't make the crust. Thats more work than I care to do, and I like the packaged crusts anyway so why bother?

I used to make pizzas quite a bit and quit doing it for some reason. I forgot how quick and simple they were, and they are so much better than frozen. I may have to get back in the groove of making them.

#55 - Done!

Yee Haw! 1 Down, 100 to Go!

Mom and I went to Topeka Civic Theater last night and watched Laughing Matters, an improvizational show similar to the television show Who's Line is It Anyway? 10, or so, local comedians put on skits, sang songs and played games while the audience picked the topics. It was a lot of fun, and for $7 it's definately something I'd like to do again.

Carpe Diem!
